Extension Educators with the Farm Business
Management and Marketing Team are trained in farm
management principles and applications. The team
has years of practical, first-hand experience
dealing with producer concerns in counties across
the Midwest. In addition, the University of
Illinois Department
of Agricultural and Consumer Economics has
worked with the team to provide members with
in-depth education on farm management
principles.

Although every team member has broad expertise,
individuals have developed areas of interest over
the years.

Gary Bullen, Macomb Center,
concentrates on leasing, beef economics, and small
farm management.

Ruth Hambleton, Mt. Vernon Center,
works in the areas of grain marketing, risk
management, and financial and production management.

Brad Lubben, Champaign,
works in the areas of agricultural and public
policy, risk management, and farmland assessment.

Jim Endress, Freeport Center,
draws upon his banking experience to work with farm
records, financial management, dairy economics, and
intergenerational transfer.
